My story.
Flora was humming while she was walking. She saw some boys walking towards her and she felt uneasy. She did not like the feeling at all and she started to suspect something. She crossed the road, but the boys did the same thing. Her heart started to pound hard. She jogged a bit, but this just caused the boys to run towards her. One grabbed her arm tightly and Flora let out a scream, “What are you doing?” she yelled. She tried to pull away, but one of the boys named Evan slapped her in the face. Flora started to cry, “Please don’t hurt me.” Evan laughed at her, and started hitting her. She screamed for help. A boy named Honey saw what was happening and he rushed towards the boys and pushed them off of Flora. “STOP, you’re hurting her!” Flora ran away crying. She was so scared, she fell halfway. Flora lay on the ground sobbing. She tried to rub the dirt and blood off her face and hands but nothing came off. The boys ran off. Honey saw Flora lying on the ground and he walked towards her. Flora saw him coming and she trembled. She did not know if he was going to hurt her too, and she attempted to get away from him. “I’m not going to hurt you,” Honey said in a soft voice. “How do I know that?” Flora said between sobs. Honey stared at her and helped her up. Flora allowed him to pick her up, because she knew she did not have the strength to do it on her own. “Thanks,” she whispered, while trying to avoid his eyes. “You’re welcome,” he said looking into her eyes. She finally met his gaze, but looked away quickly because it hurt to look at his eyes. She thought he had kind eyes and instantly she was drawn to him and knew that he would not hurt her. He carried her home and she said, “Thank you again.” Flora walked inside wanting to hurry so that she could wash away all the dirt and shame that she felt.
Honey went home. His father immediately started yelling at him, “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?” Honey knew he was drunk as usual. He just walked away, went upstairs, changed into his pajamas and went into bed. His father walked into the room and started punching Honey. He tried to toss his father off him and he yelled “Dad, stop!” He shoved his Dad as hard as he could and ran away. He did not know where he was going, but suddenly he found himself at Flora’s door.
He knocked on the door. Flora came to open it. She looked at him in shock, “what happened?” she gasped. He stumbled into her arms. “Oh my gosh,” she whispered. She held onto him for a long time and then brought him to her room. She took off his shoes and socks and she cleaned him with a warm cloth. He looked up and smiled at her while she put a towel around him. Flora’s heart grew and that is when they knew they were in love. Honey tossed his hair and giggled. “Why are you giggling?” Honey said with a laugh. “You’re hair’s just messy!” Flora said with a sweet smile. Honey put his clothes on and said “Thanks Flora.” Flora kissed his cheek, “You’re welcome.” Honey’s mouth fell open a bit. He tried to hide his red burning face. Flora watched his face and held onto his hand. “You shouldn’t hide your face you’re cute when you blush.” Flora said giggling a little bit. Honey put his head down a little bit more to hide his blushing cheeks. Flora wanted to kiss him badly, but she figured he didn’t like her. Honey flipped his hair shyly. Flora broke the silence, “Anyway, want to go for a lovely walk?”
“Yeah sure that’ll be nice.” They walked outside in a park, Flora saw some swings and ran towards them, “I love swinging! Swinging is so fun.” She went and sat on one, she started swinging, humming a happy tune. Honey pushed her lightly, Flora giggled. “Stop!” She said with a laugh, “I feel like I’m going to fall!”
“I’ll catch you if you do” He got in the front of her, she let go and jumped into his arms. They both fell into the sand laughing, Honey tickled her, she was giggling so hard and she started to purr. He stopped, “What was that noise? Is there a cat nearby?”
“Um, no.” Her tail stuck out, and Honey saw it, his eyes opened wide. “What’s that behind you?”
“It’s nothing, just a tail.” She said tucking it in.. “So you’ve been lying to me about being a human?” He said in a hurt voice. “I was going to tell you sooner or later.” She started to cry. “Please don’t hate me.” She hugged him from behind. “Don’t hate me.” She tried to apologize. “But you lied to me! I can’t believe you didn’t tell me!” He pushed her away lightly,
